Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has gained popularity recently for its eco-friendly production, as coconut trees provide many products. The oil of the coconut is especially famous for its beauty-producing qualities, as well as usefulness for our sensitive skin- it is known to fight infection, yet is gentle enough to soothe inflamed skin. I use cold-pressed coconut oil in my soaps and bath products, as the lower amount of processing means a higher amount of nutrients available for your skin.

Shea butter is often used in belly butter and other stretch-mark remedies, because of it’s reputed ability to improve the elasticity of the skin. This butter clings to you once you lather up, and helps the essential oils and other beneficial ingredients absorb into your skin. While the shea nut is a tree nut, reported allergic reactions to shea butter are very rare, even among people with tree nut allergies.
